Kelly had her first round of chemo today. Jess said that she did great. Its a different " kind" of chemo this time. Not the same as with her breast cancer. So it will affect her differently.
She will be going on Mondays and Thursdays for a month. She goes in and they draw fluid out of her brain to start and then give her the chemo. They will check the fluid each time to see how the chemo is affecting the cancer, if it starts to kill it then she can maybe start going once a week ( after the month) and them maybe once a month and so on. They will obviously continue to check her. She is such a tough chick.
My mom came to our house this weekend and brought the kids, they had a fun week-end. We took them swimming and gave them lots of junk food. They missed their mommy and daddy but were really good. It was a nice break for Jess and Kelly to just relax and rest. Well kind of. Jess and my brothers installed a hand rail outside of their house to help Kelly be more stable as she goes up the stairs. Jess can never sit still for long...
Thanks again for everyone that has donated to gofundme.com It has been awesome.

Friday Report
Kelly came home yesterday from the hospital. She had to do a little physical therapy before she was released. She had to lift her legs from a sitting position. She had to stick her tongue out straight. She is still pretty weak, she cant walk up stairs by herself. She is doing awesome with her walker though. Jess said that he is going to paint flames on it for her. She looks much better than she did a week or so ago. She is so positive, her Dr's are loving it, and told her she will beat this just because she is so strong and up beat.
Kelly's cousin Casey is still here and has been a huge help! Rachel and Logan are loving him too. Jess said that they have gotten some pretty great toys out of him.
Kelly should start chemo sometime next week, and hopefully we will have a time line.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has called and thought about them. We love them so much and are so grateful that you love them too. People are have so generous with their donations. It is such a great relief to them.
Ill update again hopefully Monday and have more information..

Tuesday report
Jess called today and said that Kelly had her last dose of radiation today again! Again! She did awesome and didn't have a seizer.
Tomorrow is surgery day. Keep your prayers, good thoughts and vibes coming their way. Kelly will start chemo as soon as the ports in and hopefully will continue getting better. She is a pretty amazing lady.
I have set up an online donation account for them as well as the Wells Fargo account. I hope this will be easier for people to donate and help ease some of their stress..

Getting Stronger
Sorry I have not updated over the week-end. Fridays radiation went about the same as Thursdays. She did not have a seizer again on Friday so it looks like the mask is working, and I'm sure the medication is helping too.
She doesn't have any treatments on the weekends, and so she was able to just rest Saturday and Sunday. Jess played tour guide a little for her uncle and cousin, and they were able to enjoy the nice weather we are having. Jed and Sunny went by and visited her as well.
My mom went down to Jess' house on Sunday and was able to do a little house work and just be there for support. She said that Kelly looked a lot better than she had earlier in the week, and even got up and watched a little TV with them.
Kelly got up and walked down the hall by herself this morning and is getting stronger. Her and Jess even stopped on the way home from her treatment to grab lunch for those at the house. she is still having trouble with her vision but if she closes one eye she can read.
Wednesday is the big day for her port to be put in and she will have to stay in the hospital at lease one night. Lets pray that everything goes well and she will continue to just get stronger and more comfortable.
Hang in there guys! We love you.

Never asking for help
I just want to say thanks to everyone for loving Kelly and Jess so much. There have been so many people reach out and want to help and just let them know that they are being thought of. I personally think they are both pretty amazing people. I'm a little bias though, and even after growing up with Jess ( you all know what I'm talking about), I still love him. :)
Kelly is very loved too, her cousin Brady went home today and she already has more visitors. Her uncle Gene and cousin Casey have come to help.
Casey I think, is staying through next week and so they should have help getting her to her appointments, and the next week my dad Ted and step-mom Karen are coming up. If you would like to help, please let us know.
We know that Jess and Kelly would never ask for financial help but we would. :) We have set up a donation account for them at Wells Fargo under Jess Wright. As of right now the only way to donate is to go into a local branch and donate. I'm looking into a way to maybe do it online? I do have an account number for it and if you would like it please text me ( Jenny- 801-781-0366 or my dad Ted- 801-497-6824 or my mom Annette- 360-888-0705) or just go in and donate under Jess Wright.
Kelly had another radiation appointment today and things went well. My sister-in-law Sunny came and helped get her there. She wore a sleep mask like thing in the car, trying something new to see if it would help her not seize. And she didn't! Hurray! She is still pretty wiped out after radiation though.
Keep sending good thoughts, vibes and prayers!!!

Everyday is somthing new!
Jess called this morning and said that Kelly had a good night. Yeah! She went in for another dose of radiation today. Her cousin Brady has been here from California for the last couple days and has been able to go with Jess to take her to her appointments. That way when she does seize he can help. Jess really likes having another person there to help him when that happens. Brady leaves today and so my mom will be going down to stay the rest of the week to help Jess.
The kids are still going to daycare until Friday and then they are done with full days. The plan is to have them go to preschool in the mornings m-w and then come to my house Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday, depending on how Kelly and Jess are both feeling. We are excited to have them come.
Jess also said that her appointment to have her port put in her head has been moved up to next Wednesday. I kind of felt like they were in no hurry to get it done and it was very frustrating, so I'm glad that is getting done.
I'm sure there will be more updates, seams that every day or minute is something new. Just keep her in your prayers that it the changes are for the positive.

Whats been happening
As many of you know Kelly was diagnosed with breast cancer last April. In fact it was the day we moved here that Jess told us they had found a lump and were waiting to hear more.
Kelly started chemo right away, a couple times a week for 12 weeks or so. The details may not be exact but pretty close. She tolerated it pretty well. She always had such a positive attitude about it and was happy to still go do things. Ill try and post some pictures of the cancer walk that she walked in. ( she out walked all us us). She lost all her hair and was so cute in her bandanas.
Then in October she had her double mastectomy. And right after started her radiation. She finished up her radiation in February, just in time to watch the Seahawks win the Super bowl. We even had a big party at Jess and Kelly's house.
She was really tired after all her radiation treatments and wasn't feeling well .But she went back to work and would work a couple hours. She still was not feeling well and got really sick. Throwing up and dehydrated. After a few days Jess took her back into the Dr. They did a MRI and were told that there was something on it and to come back in in a few days and that they were going to do a spinal tap. They did the spinal tap and confirmed that she did had cancer cells in her brain.
SO that is where we are at.
Is all happened 2 weeks ago. As you can imagine it has been a whirl wind couple of weeks for Jess and Kelly.
Jess loves to talk, we all know that, but he is exhausted and it is hard for him to keep re- tailing the story to everyone. So we are going to try and keep this blog up so you can check back here and see how she is doing.
Kelly has started radiation again and they put it right into her brain, and stomach. This time it makes her very sick and if she sits up for very long at all she has seizures. The Drs. have put her on Seizure medication but she still is having them.
She went and saw the neurosurgeon today and they will be putting a port into her head on April 4, so that she can start chemo. She will have her last dose of radiation next Tuesday. There is no word on how long all this will go on, until its gone they said... hopefully not to long.
Im sure that I have left out a lot of details, Ill try and get them right so that we can all be informed.
Kelly did ask for a blessing when this last bout of cancer was found and Judd and Ben were able to do that for her. It was a very neat experience. Jess' back yard neighbor just happens to be the old Stake president and so that is really nice to have him so close. Him and his wife have been really great to check in on them and so have the missionaries.
The kids are handling it pretty well. Rachel is really close to her mom and hates to leave her. We have had her come to our house and sleep over and she never wants to come and cant wait to go home. Logan knows that Kelly is sick but he is only 3, so he is still excited to come and visit. We will be having the kids come and stay with us and other family member's more. My mom is taking a leave from work to come over and help as well.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Ill try and get the info from Jess. He isn't on facebook much but would love to hear from you. Kelly updates her facebook every so often though.
Keep them in your prayers and thoughts. We sure love them and it sucks that they are going through this.
Ill keep ya posted
